Professional Registration

I am registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and I am bound by and abide by their Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions.

 

BACP registration means that I am professionally endorsed by BACP.  This confirms that I have been fully trained, have clinical experience and work to the highest professional and ethical standards.

I also abide by the Code of Ethics and Code of Professional Conduct of my training organisation, The Institute for the Arts in Therapy and Education (IATE), which is a member organisation of the BACP and EIATCYP (European Interdisciplinary Association for Therapy with Children and Young People, registered with UKCP (UK Council for Psychotherapy) and accredited by HCPC (The Health and Care Professions Council).

The above integrative counselling training was trauma-informed and included:  humanistic and psychodynamic therapy, arts and play therapy, attachment, neuroscience, bodywork, Gestalt therapy, Transactional analysis (TA).

Continuing Professional Development 

 

Areas of learning since training have included:  British Focusing Association (BFA) Focusing Practitioner training and BFA Certificate in Focusing (Levels 1-5), Imago Relationship Therapy (IRT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), difference and diversity, mindfulness, self-compassion and acceptance, somatic experiencing, working with anxiety, bereavement and loss, eating disorders and trauma.
